Quick and Simple Labels Without a Label Maker!

As most of you can probably tell by now, I have been on quite the label kick lately. It's a quick, easy, and simple way to begin your journey into organizing your life and home, and ever since I invested in my new label maker I have been looking for more ways to expand the idea. With the help of a few fellow bloggers (and Pinterest of course), I was able to create my quick and simple labels that will help me organize my closet shelves and hall linen closet!

The first thing I had to do was design the labels. For this project I used Microsoft Excel which was perfect for creating the shapes and adding the backgrounds. I printed out my new labels on standard white letter paper.

After the labels were printed, it was time to laminate the full sheet of paper. I ran the labels through the laminator twice, just to make sure that there would be a good tight seal. Once laminated, it was time to practice my Kindergarten skills and cut them out!

I stopped by my local Walmart on the way home and picked up 6 baskets for my closet shelves and a pack of circle adhesive Velcro dots.

I found the center cross portion on each of the baskets and adhered one side of the Velcro.

Because I needed to be able to see where I was placing the label to try and make it as center as possible, I decided to cut out the fabric side of the Velcro while still leaving the backing on.

Once I had them both even and attached, I removed the plastic backing, centered my label, and stuck it to the adhesive on the Velcro dots.

That's it! This project was so quick and simple, and I love the outcome! I can't wait to add those gorgeous Orange and floral labels to the linen closet! I placed these baskets up on the closet shelf and am now so happy to be able to reach for exactly what I want instead of digging through my drawer of miscellaneous accessories. For the time and inexpensive cost, I will definitely be making more of these... perhaps for the pantry? Happy Labeling, Friends!

A Perfect Cleaning Caddy

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!
I did something this morning that I didn't see myself doing with this blog.... yup, we now have a Facebook Page people! If you are a reader and want to stay up to date on posts with the most easily accessible social media outlet out there, head over to our page and hit that little LIKE button! We all know we can't stay away from Facebook, no matter how hard we try. She always seems to suck us back in. Okay... back to the even more exciting news...

I cannot believe that we are already this far through the year and that Christmas is tomorrow! I don't know where the rest of the year went... but wherever it went, it went there quickly. We are all now in a hurry-scurry moment to get our houses cleaned and organized before our friends, family, and loved ones arrive for all of the festivities. I'm tackling my holiday cleaning with something I have been looking for what feels like months! A brand new, pretty little cleaning caddy!

I searched high and low for months to find a cleaning caddy with dividers for my Method Cleaner bottles (have you looked into Method cleaners? They're natural based and smell amazing! No more cleaning with bleach!) I finally found this beauty at a home goods store near my house, and it was the only one left! Whyyyy!! Why must you torment me so?!

I bought my 3 cleaners that I use in my every day cleaning routines... Method Daily Ylang Ylang Shower Cleaner, the Method Mint Glass and Surface Cleaner, and the Pink Grapefruit All-Purpose Natural Cleaner... and let me tell you, it smells amazing!

I also invested in some microfiber cleaning clothes. The pack came with 9 cloths, 3 of which are these mirror cleaners that are AMAZING for leaving a streak-free shine! Those who live in glass houses... you should get some.

Right before the big move I bought the house a new stainless steel toilet bowl brush; but I have to admit that whether this thing is rinsed off afterward or not, it still kind of grosses me out that we're keeping the thing we just scrubbed our poo with next to the shower... it was time to go. Instead, I got the Scotch-Brite Toilet Brush Kit and a set of refills, and they were even on sale!

Next on my list was my cleaning printable. Yes, we did just create this about a month ago, but I got over eager as usual and felt that it needed a little more pizazz! So I increased the size and gave it a pretty floral background that gives me the added color I was looking for. It still needs to be laminated to protect it from getting damaged by water and cleaners, and then it'll be thrown on a a clipboard to carry in my tote. I love it!

Next it was time to put everything together. I nestled my cleaning bottles into their news homes, where the fit perfectly in each of the spots. I then added to the large compartment my pair of Mr. Clean rubber gloves, my microfiber cleaning cloths, and the handle to scrubber. I leave all of the "toilet bowl" attachments under my bathroom sink since I am using this caddy for all of my current cleaning, instead of just in the bathroom. Once I find another caddy similar to this one, that will change. Any ideas where to find one by the way?

Once everything was put together, it was time to add the finishing touches. I found some wooden letters that I had on hand (since I no longer have my Cricuit Machine... *crocodile tear*) and painted them with my gold painters pens. I used my mounting putty to put a pretty little label on the side, just to make my heart that much warmer with this little project.

Now that I have my completed and fully stocked cleaning caddy, I am such an eager beaver to begin my daily cleaning! It's so much more manageable to have everything together in a single spot, and it makes me cleaning paws happy to reach into the cabinet and grab this thing at the end of each day. The caddy was more than worth the wait! I can't wait to find more!

My 2015 Product Favorites!

2015 is coming to a close, and while it's definitely been a roller coaster of a year, one thing that I am most thankful for doing this year is getting back at this blog. Sure, there are probably only 4 of you that read these posts so far, but I am honored to even have you 4! I'd also like to say that for this being the 2 month anniversary of this blog, we're not doing too bad! We made it 2 months, ladies and gentlemen! Whoop whoop!

With the end of the year, I wanted to take today to shout out to a couple of my favorite products of 2015. Many of them I have probably talked about over and over again, but trust me when I say they deserve the recognition! I'm thinking about making this a monthly thing at the end of the month, maybe a top 5 products for that month? What do you think? Well, let's start with this one first...

1. Morphe Brushes 35K Palette

After a couple times of good use I fully back and support my first statement about this palette - Amazing! It's my go to... I don't think that I have even touched my other eye shadows since investing in this. It is absolutely worth more than it's being sold for, especially for it containing 35 shadow pots. Morphe, you have a new and happy customer. Keep it up.

2. Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Label Maker

I had been wanting to take the small leap for mankind and buy this label maker for some time now. I could not be happier with this purchase! I took a note out of Jen's book over at iheartorganizing.com and have been pairing this with 1/2" black on clear label tape over my decorative washi tape. Hallelujah, that woman is an organizing genius! I just love it, don't you?!

3. The Shark Steamer

This was a little bit of a spree purchase for me when we owned our home - which every single living area was completely tiled. This has also come into amazing use at the new condo, which is complete with hardwood floors! I love the look and simplicity in solid floors.... what I don't love is the shoe marks and dirty fur-baby paw prints that come with it. This thing is amazing for that quick steam mopping we all love to do. As an added extra, if I feel like I need some hardcore cleaning, I add a half of a cup of vinegar to the water solution. Easy peasy!

4. Washi Tape

This makes me the happiest organizing lady ever! I am so glad that I found what everyone has been yammering about for some time. Now every time I pop into Target, I look at there Washi Tape bins to see if there are any new designs I like. These things are only $2.99 a pop and last forever during my label projects!

5. G&H Tea Services 1-Pot of Perfect Tea Scoop

I cannot even begin to tell you how much of my precious Teavana tea leaves I have wasted by not knowing how the heck to measure those things for my teapot! It makes me so angry... too light of tea, too dark of tea... blah blah blah. Finally! A one stop shop for those of us that are tea challenged! I use this in conjunction with my Ikea tea infuser. Put one scoop in, pour in the hot water, let the leaves seep, and be a happy tea drinker. It's perfect. No more guessing! If I am working with a rather naturally light tea - like my Strawberry Lemonade leaves - I like to add an additional half a scoop, just to give it the extra punch of flavor!

6. Clarisonic Mia 1 in Lavender

If you caught my recent skin care regime post, you'll remember me saying how much I love my Mia 1. I use her every night in the shower to take off all of the days grit and grime living on my skin. I opted out of the Mia 2 because I didn't feel the need for the 2-speed design, and I must say that I am perfectly content with my Mia 1. I gently glide her across my skin in circular motions, and I love the featured 1 minute timer! I usually use the Mia with 2 intervals, so that I get 2 minutes of clean scrubbing opposed to the normal 1. Take a look at all that gunk!

7. Keurig K500 2.0 Brewing System

Christmas came early a brought me my very own Keurig K500! I have been putting off buying a Keurig for the past few months because of quite a few reasons: it not being an essential purchase, already having a standard Mr. Coffee machine, the kcups being not quite frugal in nature. I more or less kept myself from buying one, even though I really reallyyyyy wanted one. And then I got this beauty as a Christmas gift. Oh what a joyous moment! I have been using this probably 3 times a day... once at 4am for my morning coffee, once after work for a cup of tea, and once at night during unwind time to make the most amazing cider I have ever had. I also received with the Keurig these refillable kcup pods, which are perfect for those of us that like a specific coffee ground and are trying to be eco-friendly! They work perfect with this machine and I got one in both the kcup and carafe sizes!

8. Hydroflask 40oz. Water Bottle in Pinkadelic

And I bet you thought you were going to get out of me talking about my Hydroflask in another post, didn't youuuu.... sorry friends, no such luck. With this being a big highlight over these last 2 months of posts, how could I not add it to this favorites list?! It has been life changing, from my gallon water challenge to my every day life and skin goals. It's perfect. And I got mine on sale for almost half the price plus free shipping through Amazon. Score!

9. Iphone 6S in Rose Gold

This one almost didn't make the 2015 cut! I went back and forth about waiting to trade in my precious Galaxy S5, but after a few frustrating months of not being able to send MMS messages and having blank screens, I decided to take the leap. I switched back over to the dark side Apple customers, and am pleasantly happy with my new and improved Iphone 6S! I've had quick charging, easy app maneuvering, beautiful picture quality, and the ease of not having someone on the other side of my phone calls yelling "whatttttttt... I can't hear youuuuuu." My only complaint that I have had so far... Siri and I seem to still be getting to know each other, and I keep telling her no, I am not looking for Harris Sweep, I am trying to get to Terrace Street. We will work on it... but for now, please proceed in calling me "Sexy Mama"

10. Ikea's Byholma Chest

If you are someone that lives in the cold and is constantly getting throw blankets out to cuddle up in, then this chest is for you. If you are someone who has to get up at 4am and needs something to snuggle to give comfort and support, then this chest is for you. If you have extra large couch pillows that are beautiful to look at, but instantly get removed when you go to sit down, then this chest is for you. If you like to throw all the throws in a basket, close the lid, and look like a well organized lady, then yup... you guessed it... this chest is for you. This is my easy-in and easy-out throw blanket and pillow keeper, and I am absolutely in love with the look, use, and simplicity in it. I had a hard time making the purchase, as I've been trying to do frugal updates, but after wanting her for about 2 years I am so glad that I did. One more thing to make life and organizing easier - I'll take it.

11. Acrylic Organizers

So I finally have jumped onboard of the acrylic train... CHOOO CHOOOO! I can't go into too much detail on these just yet, but let's just say that these will be included in some upcoming posts early next year. Say, a January challenge perhaps? Why did I take so long to get on this band wagon?! Now that I have some... I want them all! Stay tuned for a more in-depth look at how I'm using these beauties.

12. Facetune

The best $3 app purchase out there! When I get home from work, it's overcast and getting dark and "optimal photo lightening" has long come and gone. When I wake up to leave for work, its dark as night, mostly because it practically still is night! Good quality photos are a rarity unfortunately, and all of that "best quality photos are taken in natural sunlight" has more or less gone out the window. But I still want to give you readers the best of the best. This app has been my savior the past few weeks! I purchased it on a whim and am soooo happy with it! I am able to change lighting and exposures to get my photos easier to view without looking like I took them on a polaroid. Anyone who takes a lot of photos and wants a quick, mini-photoshop-like editor, this baby is for you.

There you have it folks, this years favorites all in one shiny little bow-tied package! I'd love to know some of your favorite products you've come across recently!

Sensitive Skin Care Routine: How I've Started to Transform My Skin

I've mentioned time and time again that I have extremely sensitive skin and it more or less hates anything that it comes in contact with and isn't afraid to show it. I struggled with acne through high school and was under the hopeful assumption that it would soon cease as I got older and out of my teenage years.

No such luck. I hit 20... then 21... then 22... 23... 24... and finally, at the age of 25 (yikes!) I have found a regime that is working stupendously! I recently found sad old photos of my skin, and started doing comparisons. A'natural... bare naked skin. A lady's worst nightmare!

I am amazed by the changes already.. and I think I am finally past the "trial and error" skin care phase! As a background into my skin type, I have very sensitive acne prone skin that gets oily in my t-zone areas, but will also get extremely dry and flaky with the use of harsh skin care products. Quite the lovely package, right?? Here's how I made my change so far:

1. Clarisonic Mia 1

I bought my Clarisonic Mia 1 at the end of July when it was listed as a promo on QVC. Seriously, where have you been all of my life, you little skin goddess, you?! I will say that I have been wanting to try one forever, but the price tag made me think it was too good to be true. It's totally worth the cost people! This is by far and hands down the most effective tool I've used at removing the daily dirt, grime, and makeup. I love that it is rechargeable and waterproof, so I like to use this baby during my nightly showers. NOTE: I previously used the cheaper Olay alternative and then I spoke with a Clarisonic rep. What's different/so great about the Clarisonic is the bristles move slightly back and forth in small, miniscule rotations and you need to barely touch this to your skin for it to work effectively. The cheaper alternatives spin all the way around the brush head in a circular motion, tearing at your skin! While you may notice it helps at first, it'll also give you a giant push into premature wrinkles. No thank you! I'll stick with my bestie, Mia.

2. Dermalogica mediBac Clearing Skin Wash

I started using Dermalogica products after I received a gift card to my local spa from a close friend. I got quite a few Dermalogica products in hopes of them helping my skin. I tried their spot treatment, medicated concealer, and overnight repairing lotion. They were all... ehhh... okay. I didn't see much change with those. This Clearing Skin Wash however was exactly what I needed! I was noticing my skin was so much cleaner and healthier, and it wasn't getting dried out from the wash being too harsh! I ran out of this stuff at one point and used a Neutrogena Grapefruit exfoliating wash I had on hand instead. Needless to say my skin instantly broke out overnight and I was soon running back to get another bottle of this. Also, since a little goes a long way this stuff lasts FOREVER!

3. First Botany Dead Sea Mud Mask

Hallelujah! Hear the choir singing down from Heaven! This mud mask is the best facial mask I have ever used... and I've used a lot! Cucumber facial peels, Charcoal masks, No.7 Boots Botanics Clay Mask, Herbalife Masks, Botanicals Clay Conditioning Mask... you get the picture. I am never going back! I received this product in exchange for a review, so I wasn't expecting too much delight. I was so happy with the outcome from using this on my first time alone! My skin has started to get horribly flaky from the cold winter air. As soon as I used this, let it set, and washed it off, all of my dryness was gone! I have started using this once a week on Sunday nights, and have even been contemplating using it on Thursday's also. It's totally worth it. This is a new favorite for sure.

4. T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel

After I rinse off my facial mask, I squirt some Witch Hazel on a cotton ball and use it as a toner, making sure to wipe over my entire face to get any remaining little dirty particles that may have latched their way onto my skin. The witch hazel is alcohol free, so I don't get the skin tightening and dryness that I have experienced with other toners in the past. This is very gentle, dries quickly, and makes sure my skin is extra clean from my long days.

5. Desert Essence 100% Pure Jojoba Oil

Another product that I have mentioned time and time again on my blog is my holy grail Jojoba Oil! I bought this oil at my local Vitamin Shoppe, but I have also seen it available online. You may think it's rather pricey, but I have had this for almost 6 months and am only a third through the bottle! A little goes a long way! I add this to a cotton ball to remove my remaining eye makeup, and also use it with a cotton ball as a moisturizer after I finish toning my skin. This product soaks up fast and leaves my skin feeling extra soft! Remember I said I have very oily skin?! I was afraid to use oil for obvious reasons, but this has helped so much! And now my skin is starting to produce even less oils on it's own!

6. 40oz. Pinkadelic Hydroflask

You're never going to get me to stop talking about this thing. From helping to make me an early riser, to my gallon water challenge, this has got to be one of the best purchases I have made this year. When I drink and finish my gallon of water a day, my skin is much brighter and clearer the next day. If I miss a day or have a day where I barely hydrate, my skin is dull, lifeless, and on the verge of an intense breakout. You have to treat your body inside with how you want it to look on the outside. Your skin is thirsty, so make sure you keep it hydrated!

Bonus! Alina Skin Care Vitamin C Serum

I got this product for free from the company to test and review. Since this product takes at least 30 days to notice a substantial difference, I can't say much about how big of a role this is playing into my current skin care routine. I will say this much... it is an anti-aging serum that hasn't hindered my skin in any way and I have added it into my routine as my final step of the night. I apply this to my finger tips and rub it on my neck, as we all know us lovely ladies will one day end up with that gorgeous rooster-gobble-neck we all dread at time takes its toll. So while yes, I am only 25, I have started my anti-aging routine. Preventative Maintenance > Corrective Maintenance. Start early, ladies. Your 60 year old self will thank you.

As a few final notes before I leave you, as I am sure many of you already know.
  • Clean your makeup brushes weekly on the minimum
  • Wash your pillow cases every other day if you can, and switch sides nightly. It's harboring so much bacteria!
  • Keep your hands off your face. No picking, touchy, leaning on your hands.... Don't do it!
  • Use your speaker phone! Think of how much dirt, old makeup, and germs is on that thing, and now you're putting it all back on your face.
  • And finally, not all regimes are created equal. What works for one may or may not work for others. This is just what I have found helps my skin, and I have a top-tier sensitivity issue!
Lets take a final look at the progress we have made so far...

We still have a ways to go for just starting, but I am thrilled with where we are so far. I'd love to hear what your notes and products are that you have found help you!

10 Tips to Becoming an Early Riser

If you're like me, then mornings come too soon and the weekends pass too quick. I found myself in a slump where I was constantly getting up at the last minute and running out the door for work in a scampered hurry looking like I slept all night in my car. Recently I decided to make a change. I started changing my routine and I found 10 things that help me get up and ready in the morning in a calm and put together manner.

1. Set Up Your Coffee Pot and Use That Programmer!
(Fun fact if you are a coffee drinker - Add cinnamon to your grounds! It brings in an extra flavor and some added health benefits!) By setting up your machines the night before, you're giving yourself an extra 5-10 minutes of rest time. Who can say no to that! Plus, I smell my Vanilla Hazelnut when my alarm goes off in the morning since it brews 10 minutes before my wake up call. It's just the motivation I need to get going without the snooze button!

2. Preplan The Wardrobe.
I'm able to do this perfectly with the help of my handy dandy command hooks behind my bedroom door! Seriously, this alone has tremendously helped in getting me up and running in the morning and I never realized how much time I was taking to get an outfit together before.

3. Stick To a Minute-To-Minute Routine.
This has really helped me and has probably been the number one way I've helped to get myself moving in the morning. I am very specific with how I use my time; down to the minute even. 4:15, my alarm goes off and I change clothes. 4:20 and I'm pouring my delicious coffee and taking a seat on the couch to catch up with The Walking Dead the morning news. 4:40, I head upstairs to paint my face. 4:50, I touch up the hair and any final features. Then I mosey around with any last minute things I might need to do in the morning, and 5:15 off to work I go! (Goodness that's depressing.)

4. Do Your Hair The Night Before.
I told my sister-from-another-mister this and she blatantly laughed at me. "Why would you do that?!" Ladies... think about it. If you take 20 minutes to do your hair in the morning, that's precious sleep your losing out on. Now, if you take 5 minutes in the morning to touch up those fly-aways... much better! Plus, the "loose' curls and hairstyles are totally in right now. Take advantage while you can.

5. Drink Plenty of Water - Stay Hydrated!
If you caught my post about the gallon water challenge I'm currently in, then you'll know I'm already on this trend. This has been TOUGH, but so rewarding! As a quick note, I feel so much better already! It's been a month and I am much more refreshed and moving throughout the day. Do it friends. Your body will love you.

6. Get to Bed at a Decent Time.
C'mon now... this should be a no brainer. Want to feel rested? Actually get some rest! No night owls welcome.

7. Bye Bye, Electronics!
But first... let me take a selfie! No... just, no. Turn off your phone notifications. Turn off the television. Turn off the Ipod, Ipad, Iphone, and the Icantgetanysleepmachines. Research has proven you'll sleep better doing this at least 30 minutes before lights out. Your brain cannot shut down for quality rest if you're jamming it packed with over-stimulation people! Say goodnight... your tweet can wait 'til morning.

8. Meal Plan and Prep.
There's something to be said about grabbing your shoes to run out the door and remembering that you're going to starve the rest of the day because you forgot to make a lunch! Simple solution - Meal prep. Invest in a container set and take the time on Sunday to make your lunches for the week. You're bright and early self will thank you for it - and so will your butt after not eating McDonalds 5 days a week. Since I've done my 30 nights of meals, I'm having a blast with my leftovers for lunch the next day!

9. Put Your Fur-Babies To Bed.
Okay - serious topic here, people. My little fur children want nothing to do with snuggles... that is until it's 1:30 in the morning and they all of the sudden want my pillow, my blanket, to lay between my legs, and to kneed on my sides and back to get themselves comfy and use me as their bed. I was waking up to them invading my space - every single night! Do yourself a solid. Put those furry creatures to bed. I accomplished this by making Jackson his own little comfy spot next to the bed on the floor, which he instantly worked with once I figured out what ratio of pillows and comfort he wanted. I accomplished this with Emma by... well... I never accomplished this with her to be honest. Her unwillingness to let me sleep has earned her a one way ticket to getting locked out of the room. Do I feel bad about it?? My rested-self says no. Do what you have to do people.

10. Pep Talk Yourself.
Don't laugh. This is real talk.
I saw somewhere way back when that if you talk to yourself right before you fall asleep and tell yourself what you want to dream about, you can make it happen. This was my first step into lucid dreaming. I used to do this for years as a teenager. I'm not pulling your leg; I could start a dream and continue where I left off night after night and change the dream as I went. Unfortunately, it's become a forgotten and lost gift that I don't participate much in anymore. But, I realized the same can be accomplished for when you're awake! Talk to yourself before you go to sleep - tell yourself you're going to have a deep, sweet slumber and wake up well rested. Remind yourself your coffee will already be brewed and with all of your preparation you'll have time to watch that Voice episode that you missed political debate that you recorded. Try it. It really does work and instills positive thinking, and if nothing else... well, at least you tried. Tell yourself "you're awesome"... you can never use enough of those.

When everything is said and done, you'll find yourself ready and put together in the morning with a smile on your face and a much more positive look on the day. I can no longer say "I am not a morning person.."

Quick backtrack to what we have going on here and look at normal times vs. prepared time.
Setting up your coffee pot: 5 minutes vs. 0 minutes.
Picking out your outfit: 5 minutes vs. 0 minutes.
Doing your hair: 20 minutes vs. 5 minutes.
Meal Prepping: 10 minutes vs. 0 minutes.
Congratulations - Just those 4 tasks saved you 35 minutes of precious sleep in the morning. Who says no to that!? Happy sleeping!

30 Days of Freezer Meal Planning: a Menu on a Budget

Let's be real here for a moment... we all splurge a little here and there on something that we really like. For some of us it's makeup, for others it's clothes, and for those of you like me, your hard earned dolla-dolla bills are going towards either things to make my house smell good or towards food in my belly.

Here's a little breakdown for you... be gentle. This is quite embarrassing. So I just logged into my bank account and added up for the month of November, in 14 transactions I spent $100.05 going out for food (Oh Starbucks... you did me dirty and I didn't even realize it.) That's averaging out to $7.15 per crap-laden meal! This for me is pretty bad, considering
1.) It was all junk. Nothing of healthy substance. and
2.) This wasn't including anything bought at an actual grocery store!

Yikes. It's time to begin a turning page. We're going to go on a little journey together. A journey where we meal prep together, and turn $100 or less into 30 days of freezer dinners. Prepared. Ready. and much better for me than the quick shop stop. Let's do this! The first thing I needed to do was plan out my menu and ingredients listing. (Get your own printable Menu Planner and Grocery List!)

After I figured out what my 30 dinner meals were going to be, it was time to put a checklist in motion to make maneuvering through my local marketplace and grocery store a breeze. I decided to tackle this project Wednesday night, when it was dark and gloomy. Note that the shredded cheese is listed as a number of meals rather than a set amount. This, my friends, is because I believe that not everything in the kitchen needs to be extremely calculated. Some of us prefer a little cheese in our meals, while others like myself like to load a dish up! Use your own judgement - for me, one block of mild cheddar was enough for my 30 days of din-din!

Once I got home, it was time to throw it all together. First thing's first... light up that Christmas tree and put on some holiday music!

I laid out all of my ingredients, gathered my freezer bags, and got to work.

I will say that most of the dishes I made, I didn't get to take a picture of since it started to get tedious washing my hands between each prepared bag of raw chicken and meat, so after a while I just gave up. But here is a glimpse of what I did catch on camera.

Pork Roast

Sweet Tangy Meatballs
Kielbasa and Peppers

Onions, Chicken, and Garlic for Crockpot Chicken Soup

Since I knew I would be having Chicken Soup Thursday night, I prepped and left one of the containers in the fridge to throw in the crockpot the next day. It came out delicious! My "seasoning of choice" for the above recipes is Tony's Creole Season. Mmmmmm!

When everything was said and done, I had 30 delicious and ready to go dinners in my freezer! The sight was magical! Each of these dinners gives me 3 servings - which is great for a new couple if you're looking for something smaller in size. It also allows me to have leftovers for lunch the next day! If you're a larger family, you can easily adjust your portions to accommodate everyone. I spent almost exactly $100 on this prep plan, without bargain shopping and preplanning, which would have made it even cheaper! Between 3 servings, that makes each of them cost $1.11! Ummm helloooo... you can't eat this good for that cheap anywhere on the run. And it only took me one hour to prep everything, from start to finish!

When I was able to finally able to get the smell of onions off of my hands (wear gloves if you have them... seriously... so many onions!) It was time for Jackson and I to lay back and relax while enjoying a little Christmas movie to prepare for the upcoming holidays.
