An Organized Life: Learning to Love Labels

Good morning, sweet friends!
The weather is now officially in Winter-Mode, and my toes are almost constantly frozen. The 4:15 alarm clock has become increasingly harder to not snooze as the warmth of my handmade quilt screams my name from my toasty bed. The increasingly chilly days have led to me consuming more tea and coffee on a daily basis than I think I have ever done before - which believe me, it's a lot!

I placed a welcoming order of Teavana loose leaf teas on Cyber Monday for a stellar deal which is set to arrive tomorrow! As soon as I placed the order (which contained 6 different types of tea!) I knew I would be needing some tea tins for storage. And of course, my best friend Amazon came through as always with these set of 6 stacking tea tins!

I love them, but they don't really have that much pizazz, if you catch my drift. What they needed were some handy dandy labels to let me know which tea was in which canister. And I knew exactly how to solve that little dilemma... my perfect little label maker!

I contemplated chalkboard labels, dry erase labels, a string and paper label... the wheels were definitely turning. In the end I decided to use my gorgeous silver sparkled washi-tape I just purchased from Target for $2!

The tins came equipped with a line down the side of the canister - which was perfect for lining up the tape accurately. I then used my brand new Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Label Maker and Black on Clear 1/2" Label Tape to make my labels!

Don't you just love it?! So much more user-friendly and eye-appealing than the plain tins!

After labeling the lovely canisters, a sort of labeling frenzy hit and I couldn't stop there. I busted out my new file folders also bought from Target, and started making labels for those as well!

I cannot get over how perfect and easy this is to use. It's going to make this ever-growing list of projects I have for myself so much easier to accomplish in a timely and beautiful manner! Now excuse me, while I continue to go find something else to label. Today I will leave you with a little sneak-peak of what's to come in our near future... a coffee and tea cabinet update! Still much work to be done - but here's your first glimpse. Enjoy!
